Becoming A Volunteer

The Moira Anderson Foundation is fortunate to have volunteers who help us with various aspects of the charity.

Some of the activities the volunteers will assist with are – help with fundraising events and bag pack days in local Supermarkets, collecting/delivering collection cans in local shops/bars, help with small tasks in the centre and reception duties (those chosen to undertake further training).

Initial training is for a period of 3 weeks, usually one evening per week. thereafter Safe Hands training is offered. Volunteers at present range from age 18 to 70+ and come from all walks of life.

Our people are committed and honest individuals and are valued members of the Moira Anderson Foundation. As part of the recruitment process you may be required to complete information for the PVG Scheme and all volunteers, as well as our staff, treat all aspects of their work in complete confidentiality.

Please note that we’re not recruiting new volunteers at the moment. The next round of recruitment is likely to be Spring 2024. Thank you for your interest.
