The Moira Anderson Foundation is a National Charity dedicated to supporting those affected by childhood sexual abuse. We support children and adults of both genders in whatever way we can. Some of the services we provide are: Counselling and Therapies
On-going supportOn-going support is offered by our Client Support Worker. This is offered prior to counselling/therapy commencing.POP-INOur weekly POP-IN gives you the chance to have a chat and a coffee with other people who use our service, in an informal setting. The POP-IN takes place every Wednesday from 12.30 – 2.30pm. Men are welcome to attend on the first Wednesday of every month.BefriendingWe provide a befriending service tailored to your interests.Support with CICA applications For those wishing to apply for Criminal Injuries Compensation, we can help with the application process and any queries you may have. Support through the Judicial Process We can support you whilst you are giving your statement to the police. We can also assist you through the legal process by answering your queries. TrainingWe deliver ‘Safe Hands’ training. This 2 day training course promotes personal safety strategies for everyone.Awareness Raising Presentations Our presentations help to raise the awareness of childhood sexual abuse and its effects, and also the services MAF provide
