Lisa Potts and Sandra Brown – ordinary women with extraordinary experiences, told the story of their lives publicly on stage in London's Soho Theatre at a one night event covered by the media and highlighted on ITV's "Good Morning" with Fern Brittain and Philip Schofield – unplugged and unscripted. Sandra told her story again after its successful London premiere at Airdrie Arts Centre Theatre in October over three evenings. This time the play was performed under the title of "One of our Ain", to very good audience numbers, and excellent reviews particularly from Glasgow's Evening Times. The newspaper donated the sum of £5,000 to the charity following Sandra's success in being awarded their accolade of Scotswoman of the Year by their readers. |
